Rustic Garlic Bread

It's December. With dozens of discount and Cyber Monday emails flooding my inboxes, I simply needed the time to disconnect and unwind this weekend. Yesterday, I awoke with an urge to cook (imagine that). The rustic beauty of Sunday Supper's Instagram inspired my next recipe, which will surely warm you up during upcoming cold, rainy days. I can't wait to pour a glass of pinot noir and enjoy the remaining buttery slices alongside my next winter meal. IMG_1662

1 country loaf 3 cloves garlic, minced 4 tablespoons butter (1/2 stick), room temperature 2 tablespoons olive oil 7 sprigs thyme 3 sprigs rosemary

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. With a rubber spatula, incorporate garlic with butter and olive oil.

3. Slice bread in thick slices, leaving 1 inch uncut to keep loaf intact. Brush each slice with butter mixture. Tuck sprigs of herbs in between slices.

4. Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
