Valentine's Day at the Lake House

0603b01c6b24bbe72c3ae7ef53837bcf Who's ready for the weekend? Tonight post-work, I'm heading to good 'ole Arkansas for two days of relaxation and romance. It's about time.

I'll be toting a few bottles of B Side cabernet and Basil Hayden (love, love their packaging) in my trunk, Fresh Market ingredients, and a few miscellaneous spices for a Friday evening dinner in front of the fireplace. Filets (according to Chef Jose Gutierrez's process, coming soon), proscuitto-asparagus bundles and goat cheese roasted onions are the current menu. I might have brought along some Porcellino's homemade gemelli pasta, too!

Then will come the perfect balance of pace: Saturday's hyped horse races and Sunday morning's long, thoughtful trail walk along Lake Catherine.

I look forward to no distractions and pure, authentic time together...Enjoy the little things this weekend, whether a simple encounter or a token of affection!
