Lime Placecard DIY

Meet the functional and fashionable place card that becomes the ultimate garnish for your drink or dish -- How can you beat that?!

My lime DIY place card sets the tone for this summer's Supper Club -- It's summery and refreshing, provides a pop of color for each person's place, and immediately invokes a sense of interactive fun for your guests. For this spread specifically, we're using the lime for a final garnish of a blood orange summer spritzer cocktail.

The super festive (and simple) DIY isn't just for summer, either; it can be utilized at a Mexican fiesta, a breakfast taco party, or even for a cozy winter tortilla soup dinner.

4 limes
1 provided white paint pen
Cutting board
Small knife
4 small white plates

1. Write the name of each guest across the center of each lime, ensuring the lime ends are facing your top and bottom (rather than left and right).

2. Over a cutting board, use a knife to carefully cut the bottom edge of the lime at an angle, allowing the lime to rest facing slightly up (for the guest to easily read).

3. Once guests are seated, invite them to squeeze their limes into their cocktails -- then, toast to a beautiful supper and gathering!
