Oh glorious Galentine’s Day, the one day a year when cheese and charcuterie are overhauled by pink-hued treats and chocolates.

My friends at Smallcakes Collierville supplemented the most decadent sweets to gear us up for the holiday and inspire us to nix the calories and, instead, indulge alongside your nearest and dearest.

Presentation-wise, you can disperse your potluck or solely Smallcakes-provided lineup on a board in an array inspired by, yes, a cheese board — or you can set the sweets on platters or shared plates for the dining room or coffee table. I am lucky to have a set of Paper & Clay’s blush-hued serving pieces, which are perfect for this holiday! I’ve demonstrated both options to inspire your palette.

Now, onto the treats…

First, can we discuss the simple yet precious look of the marbled bark studded with conversation hearts?! Talk about a memorable homemade Valentine’s goodie to make with the kids for school if you’re looking for ideas!

Smallcakes owner Tara’s popular strawberry cake made an appearance as cake balls dunked in chocolate with mini metallic hearts — the perfect pick-up! Additionally, pink performed in the form of a white chocolate cherry cake crumbled into individual 2-ounce glasses, known in the shop as “Small Bites.” This version was layered with cherry buttercream and dolloped with a white-chocolate covered cherry for good measure.

The mini chocolate chip cookie sandwiches were my personal favorite, stuffed with white icing and rolled in mini pink and white sprinkles. And for a sophisticated option, "rosies” are almond/shortbread cookies with an almond buttercream piped as a rose.

Hungry yet? Grab your gals, order (or bake) your desserts, open the rosé, and celebrate!
