Alex and I recently craved an end-of-summer dessert date. Despite how tempting the gelato shop sounded down the street, we sought an at-home treat to share over a movie (while snuggled up with our pup Sawyer, of course). We didn’t feel like dirtying up the kitchen with a from-scratch baking recipe, and a scoop of standard ice cream sounded, well, too standard. The solution? Edwards Desserts. We grabbed the pie from our freezer, plucked the Vitamix from our cabinet, and gave it a whirl.

You’ll find Edwards Desserts in same aisle as ice cream, but believe me, it’s in a different league. Edwards Desserts are available in whole, two-pack and single-serve portions, perfect for a variety of everyday occasions. It’s almost too easy to spot them at your local grocer since they’re nationwide, so you have no excuse to use Edwards at your next fête as a party of ten or two (or one!).

Edwards Cookes & Crème Pie served as our milkshake base, comprising of fluffy vanilla crème and chocolate cookie chunks and a fresh-from-the-oven dark chocolate cookie crumb crust. It’s hard to top perfection, but with whipped crème rosettes and cookie crumb garnish, this pie is the crème de la cookies and crème. Especially when mixed with a couple splashes of milk and poured into a glass!

If you’re looking for a robust, silky smooth milkshake to match the mood of your date night, don’t look further than Edwards. Scroll for my steps to make your own milkshake and for your chance to win your own pie!
