We used the sweetest Arkansas strawberries to muddle and mix with our margarita essentials. They’re like candy — and I can’t get enough every time we road trip to visit Alex’s family.
You must add this one to your summer rotation!
Makes 1 margarita
4 ripe strawberries, washed and de-stemmed
1 lime, zest and juice
1 tablespoon sugar
3 ounces margarita mix (I love Agalima!)
2 ounces tequila
Mix lime zest and sugar in a shallow bowl or plate. Rim your glass with lime juice and dip in sugar/lime zest mixture. Then, pour a small spoonful of sugar mixture into the glass. Add 3 strawberries (reserving the last for garnish) and muddle well. Pour margarita mix and tequila. Stir well. Add ice, lime wedge, and strawberry for garnish.
