Five-Minute Air Fryer Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Trader Joe's Chili Onion Crunch

Well, I pretty much gave away the entire recipe in the title. It’s that simple. The flavor brings me back to nights in Austin at Uchiko, where we'd return time and time again for their addictive crispy brussels. This recipe, in my opinion, is not only addictive to the taste, but the process is too good to be true. A store-bought bag of shaved brussels is key here, resulting in zero prep — plus the shavings get extra crispy in the air fryer — and, to finish, Trader Joe’s chili onion crunch adds a kick and then some!

Of course, you can pop these veggies in a 400-degree oven, too — just keep an eye on them and shake the baking sheet a few times! They’ll take closer to 12-15 minutes to achieve the same texture as your air fryer.

Enjoy any day — or every day — I won’t judge!

Serves 4

1 bag shaved Brussels sprouts
1 tablespoon olive oil
Sprinkle sea salt
1 tablespoon Trader Joe’s chili onion crunch

1. Pour Brussels sprouts in a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss until veggies are well coated. Sprinke with salt and toss once more.

2. Line your air fryer basket with a piece of foil, and pour prepped Brussels into the basket. Turn air fryer to 390 degrees, cooking for 5 total minutes — open the basket and shake twice, once after 2 minutes and again after the fourth minute.

3. Transfer to a serving bowl or back to the prep bowl. Add chili onion crunch over Brussels and toss until coated. Serve and enjoy!
